Rom Isichei Nigeria, b. 1966

Working across painting, drawing, and collage, his compositions often examine human relationships, spirituality, and aspects of cultural life. Isichei is particularly recognized for his expressive portraiture, characterized by dense, textured surfaces and layered brushwork.

Isichei earned a Higher National Diploma in Fine Arts from Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, before pursuing postgraduate studies in the United Kingdom, receiving both a Postgraduate Diploma and a Master of Fine Arts from Chelsea College of Art and Design, University of the Arts London His works have appeared in numerous exhibitions and publications and are held in a range of public and private collections.
